1. Introduction

Welcome to Tableport. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. Who We Are

The controller responsible for your personal data is Tableport platform Oy, Husbackankuja 8 A 6, 01610 Vantaa, Finland ( "Tableport", "we", "us" or "our"). If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at hello@tableport.gg.

3. Information We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Account Data: email address, and—depending on how you sign in—a password or a one-time login code. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Profile Data: username, display name, avatar, profile colors, preferred language, and any other information you choose to add to your profile.
  • Location Data: when you create or search for venues and events, we process the addresses, cities, postal codes, countries and geographic coordinates you provide. Address searches are processed by our mapping provider (Mapbox) to return location suggestions.
  • Gameplay Data: tournaments and events you create or join, match results and standings, reviews and ratings you submit, and, if you choose to link it, your Discord identifier.
  • Technical Data: includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform
  • Usage Data: information about how you interact with our service, such as the pages and features you use.

We do not collect payment card or other financial data, and Tableport does not currently process payments.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data to provide and improve the Tableport service, including to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you when you sign in
  • Let you create, join and manage tournaments, events and venues, and display results and standings
  • Resolve and display locations for venues and events using our mapping provider
  • Send you service-related communications, including login codes and account notices
  • Operate, secure and improve our service (including troubleshooting, testing, support, and protecting against fraud and abuse)
  • Comply with our legal obligations and notify you of changes to our terms or this policy

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the service you sign up for, such as managing your account, tournaments and library.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain and improve our service and to prevent abuse, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: where we ask for it, for example certain optional features. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
  • To make suggestions and recommendations to you about goods or services that may be of interest to you

6. How We Share Your Information

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know.

They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and for as long as reasonably necessary to satisfy any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.

8. Your Legal Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction of your personal data
  • Request erasure of your personal data
  • Object to processing of your personal data
  • Request restriction of processing your personal data
  • Request transfer of your personal data (data portability)
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@tableport.gg. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with the law.

12. Where Your Data Is Stored

All of our servers and databases are located within the European Union, and your personal data is stored and processed there.

A limited number of third-party providers we rely on (such as those described in section 6) may process certain data outside the EU, including in the United States.
