How to Track Board Game Scores and Match History

How Match Tracking Works
When you play a game with friends on tableport, the host can start a match. Here's the basic flow:
- Start a match, select the game you're playing
- Add players, include everyone who's participating
- Play your game, enjoy the actual tabletop experience
- Record results, log scores, winner, and any notes
- End the match, the results are saved to everyone's history
Flexible Scoring for Any Game
Every board game scores differently. Some reward the highest score, while others—like Golf card games or The Mind—reward the lowest. Our match system adapts to both:
- Highest score wins, for most games where you accumulate points
- Lowest score wins, for games where fewer points (or mistakes) is better
Enter each player's final score, and the system automatically determines rankings based on your chosen scoring type. Whether you're tracking victory points in Wingspan, money in Monopoly, or strokes in a card game, just enter the numbers.
Invite Friends to Matches
You can invite friends directly to matches. No more coordinating through group chats about who's in and who's tracking scores. Send an invite, and everyone's connected to the same match.
Building Your Match History
Over time, your match history builds up. You'll be able to see:
- Which games you play most often
- Your win rate across different games
- Who your most frequent opponents are
- How your performance changes over time

Rematches Made Easy
Just finished a close game and want to go again? Use our rematch feature to quickly start a new match with the same players. You can even swap to a different game while keeping your group together.
